St. Paul, MN- Yesterday, Representative Jeanne Poppe (DFL-Austin) was appointed to the conference committee on SF 3018, the Agriculture Policy Omnibus bill.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with fellow conferees to compromise on a final bill and deliver strong ag initiatives for our farmers in Greater Minnesota”, said Poppe.
The bill contains significant support for ag communities by including an extension of a Farmer-Lender Mediation Task Force, and a farm safety standard to address farming accidents across the state.
The committee is expected to meet before the Legislature adjourns on May 23.
