Gov. Mark Dayton says the state should spend $100 million of the projected budget surplus to combat racial disparities in housing, employment and education.
Some members of the Legislature are now coming forward with their ideas for how that money could be allocated.
On Wednesday, DFL House Rep. Rena Moran, who represents part of St. Paul, introduced a collection of bills she's calling the Women of Color Opportunities Act.
She spoke to MPR News host Cathy Wurzer.
