St. Paul—Today the Minnesota House of Representatives passed an unemployment extension for workers on the Iron Range who have been laid off due to the economic crisis. The bill will head to the Governor today for his signature. Representative Tom Anzelc (DFL-Balsam Township), Representative Carly Melin (DFL-Hibbing), Representative Jason Metsa (DFL-Virginia), and Representative Rob Ecklund (DFL-International Falls) released the following joint statement:
