Legislative Update - February 1, 2016

Monday, February 1, 2016

Dear Neighbors,

As you may know, this November a portion of Highway 169 between Bren Road, just north of Highway 62, and 7th Street will close in both directors for a period of nearly a full year as MnDOT begins a significant construction project. This closure is necessitated by replacement of the Nine Mile Creek Bridge along with other work on 169, such as resurfacing between Highway 55 and Highway 62, adding acceleration lanes at Cedar Lake Road, various drainage, noise barrier, and guardrail repairs, and ADA upgrades. Along with the full closure between Bren and 7th, there will be periodic lane closures on other sections of the project.

In order to better explain the project and answer questions from residents, representatives from MnDOT will be available next Wednesday at an open house in Minnetonka.

WHAT: MnDOT Open House to discuss Highway 169 construction
WHERE: Hopkins High School, 2400 Lindbergh Dr, Minnetonka
WHEN: Wednesday, February 10 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
WHO: MnDOT officials and any interested community members.

I invite you to attend the open house and bring any questions for MnDOT. If you’re unable to attend, I am always available to help answer questions as well.

Sincerely,

Paul
