Fall on Display in Minnesota
Fall is in full swing and state agencies are highlighting Minnesota’s natural beauty. The MN DNR is tracking color change in the state parks. Broken down by region, anyone can go to the DNR’s Fall Color Finder to find nearby state parks and a brief description of the color change in each of the state parks.
If you and your family are interested in visiting a local apple orchard visit Minnesota Grown and search by location or by product to find a local food producer.
Twin Valley BSA’s Haunted Manor
As part of the co-ed Venturing program, the Twin Valley Boy Scouts of America will be holding their Haunted Manor of Fairfax over the next two Saturdays. The proceeds from the haunted house will go to support Venture Crew 53. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., but there are special activities for younger kids starting between 4 and 6 p.m. Kids wearing costumes will receive a $1 discount on their admission fees.
What: The Haunted Manor of Fairfax
When: Saturday, October 24th and October 31st at 6 p.m. Cost: $7.00 ($6.00 with a costume) to benefit Venture Crew 53

This Haunted House is located 4 miles east of Franklin and/or 4 miles west of Fairfax on Highway 19 then one mile south on 430th Street.

Northern Natural Gas Cedar Station Upgrade
Northern Natural Gas will be having an open house to answer questions and concerns about their proposal to upgrade their Cedar Station terminal. The Cedar Station Upgrade includes plans to construct approximately 7.8 miles of 20-inch-diameter pipeline looping Northern’s existing Rosemount Junction to Minneapolis No. 1 branch line, located in Dakota County, Minnesota.
