We are busy putting the pieces in place as we await word from Gov. Mark Dayton regarding a special legislative session.
The governor vetoed three budget bills the Legislature passed during the regular session. Most notably is the bill which funds K-12 education. We have reached an agreement on that bill, including no pre-K provision, and are working out the details of the others.
I am in St. Paul for a Ways and Means Committee meeting this afternoon in order to conduct public hearings on issues we may bring up during a special session. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
