Friends and neighbors,
We are making history today as we meet outside of the State Capitol chambers for the first time since its construction (110 years ago). As we meet in the State Office Building, we gather to discuss the bipartisan budget bills that were vetoed by Governor Dayton – Job Growth and Energy Affordability, Environment and Natural Resources, and E-12 Education – and the budget bills that were passed by only one body in the final days of the legislative session – Bonding and Legacy.
As I wrote in my piece in the Osseo-Maple Grove Press, I am committed to a short, bipartisan special session focused on bills that will help Minnesota families. I will continue to stay in touch to share the results of our work on legislation during the special session.
