Tin Cup owner Gidget Bailey accompanies Rep. Lesch to State of the State Address

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

ST. PAUL, MN – As state legislators prepare for Governor Dayton to deliver his State of the State address to a joint session of the legislature, State Representative John Lesch (DFL-St. Paul) has announced that he is inviting local restaurant owner Gidget Bailey to attend the Governor’s speech as his guest.

“Gidget is the kind of business owner Rice Street loves,” said Lesch. “Her commitment to our community demonstrates the kind of service that keeps this neighborhood thriving and it’s only fitting that she be represented in the House chamber as Governor Dayton delivers his plans for Minnesota.”

Bailey is the owner of Tin Cup restaurant and bar, located on Rice Street and Maryland Ave in St. Paul. Tin Cup has become known by locals as a place where community organizations, sports teams, and other groups can meet and host events to raise awareness and funds for community causes and initiatives.

“The invitation is an honor,” said Bailey. “I look forward to listening to Governor Dayton’s vision for Minnesota’s future. I know he shares a commitment to building stronger community that I’ve tried to promote through an engaged business model. It should be a very special evening!”
