Rep. Tama Theis Sworn into MN House
Greetings from the Capitol!
I am excited to begin my first term in the Minnesota House of Representatives. I was sworn in last Tuesday, Feb. 19 after a special election was held to replace retiring State Rep. Steve Gottwalt. I hope to keep you aware of the issues I’m working on in St. Paul periodically throughout the year.
Here are a few photos from my swearing in ceremony on Tuesday. I was thrilled to be joined by much of my family and many friends and new colleagues.
I have been appointed to serve on the House Higher Education, Commerce, and Government Operations Committees and began my work with those this week.
It is an honor to serve as the first woman to represent the St. Cloud area in the Minnesota House. I also plan on also utilizing my experience as a small business owner in the Legislature.
