St. Paul, Minnesota — Yesterday, Rep. Barb Yarusso (DFL - Shoreview) met with Governor Mark Dayton to discuss the state budget. Governor Dayton announced today that he is dropping business-to-business taxes from his budget proposals.
“I have been hearing concerns from our community about the business-to-business tax proposals over the last several weeks,” said Rep. Yarusso. “In our budget meeting, I told the Governor that residents of my district were worried about this tax proposal and that I wasn’t sure I could support it.”
“Governor Dayton was very receptive to my concerns and I am pleased that he has decided to drop the business-to-business tax. I will continue to work with the Governor to produce an honest, responsible and balanced budget that properly funds priority areas and moves Minnesota into a more prosperous future.”
