PRESS RELEASE

GOP LEGISLATORS HOST STATE OF THE STATE JOBS ROUNDTABLE

Representative Mark Uglem joined by Champlin’s George Hutson

SAINT PAUL, MN – Representative Mark Uglem, R-Champlin, welcomed George Hutson, owner of Filtration Engineering in Champlin, as his guest to Wednesday’s State of the State address where he participated in a jobs roundtable with local job creators from across the state.

House Republicans used their guest tickets to the annual address, traditionally reserved for friends and family members, to invite Minnesota job creators to participate in a roundtable immediately preceding the speech and to join them on the House floor.

“It was helpful to hear the concerns about Governor Dayton’s tax proposal, particularly about the proposed business-to-business taxes,” Uglem said. “These tax increases would directly affect the bottom lines of companies all over the state, and result in higher prices being passed on to consumers.”

Filtration Engineering was founded in 1982, and manufactures filtration systems for a variety of industries around the United States and all over the world.
