State Rep. Carly Melin (DFL–Hibbing) and State Sen. David Tomassoni (DFL–Chisholm) have scheduled a flood damage informational session for residents of Floodwood, Meadowlands, Cotton, and all surrounding townships to discuss emergency operations and how to proceed in rebuilding our communities, farms and homes after the flood. The state lawmakers will provide information on reporting damage and resources. The informational session is scheduled as follows:
When: TUESDAY, JUNE 26
Time: 3:00 P.M.
Where: FAIR BUILDING ON MAIN STREET IN FLOODWOOD
107 West 7th Avenue, Floodwood, MN.
"We want township residents and local officials to have a place to come for good solid information so they know the proper steps to take in the flood recovery process," said Rep. Melin. “Homes, businesses, farms and infrastructure in our communities were destroyed by the flooding – and it is important for everyone to know what actions to take in order to get things functioning again as quickly as possible.”
Sen. Tomassoni added, “Residents in our communities are understandably overwhelmed and we want to be available to listen to concerns and offer assistance. We will get through this together.”
If you are unable to attend, please feel free to contact Rep. Melin or Sen. Tomasssoni directly.
