MELIN STANDS WITH NURSES FOR SAFE PATIENT CARE
(ST. PAUL) – Responding to an informational picket by nurses today at Range Regional Health Services in Hibbing, Representative Carly Melin provided the following statement:
“I stand in solidarity with the nurses at the Hibbing Hospital. They provide quality care to all of us on the Range and in the Northland. I support their efforts to ensure safe staffing levels and a safe working environment. I encourage hospital management to come back to the table with an offer that addresses nurses’ concerns over input into the delivery of nursing care, input regarding staffing levels that are responsive to how sick patients are, and a safe work environment. I will continue to fight and protect the right of nurses and workers to organize and collectively bargain."
