LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

News from Representative Swedzinski - Memorial Day

As we celebrate Memorial Day weekend and take off on vacations and begin the unofficial beginning of summer, may we take a moment to stop and remember what Memorial Day is all about. It is during this time of year that we remember those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

It is also with much appreciation and gratitude that I’d like to thank those who are currently serving in our military. These brave men and women sacrifice so much to protect our country. I’d also like to thank their family members for their sacrifice as well, I can’t even imagine the hardships these folks go through, and I am so thankful for all they do.

I would encourage you to attend a Memorial Day program in your local area this weekend. May we never forget the sacrifices of our brave men and women who gave all for our freedom.

Memorial Day Events:
Minneota – 10:30 am at the American Legion
Taunton – 9:00 am at the Taunton Senior Center
Ghent – 9:00 am at Saint Eloi Catholic Church
Porter – 6:30 pm at Porter Hall
Marshall – 11:00 am at Liberty Park
Redwood Falls – 6:30 pm at the PAC in Redwood Valley
