LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

News From Representative Swedzinski

The Public Utilities Commission provides information regarding the Cold Weather Rule which allows homeowners to apply for an affordable payment plan through their utility company in order to keep the heat on in their homes during the colder months. If you have questions like: can my heat be shut off in the winter? Or, are all utilities covered? How do I apply? The following website will be able to answer your questions.

I also wanted to remind any high school students who would like to participate in the Minnesota House of Representatives Page program to start applying now. I look forward to seeing students from district 11B in St. Paul during the 2012 session.

I also would like to announce the newest addition to our family. Adeline Valentine was born on October 16th, 2011. We are so happy to have her here, and look forward to the many years ahead.
