St.Paul, MN—Rep. Kathy Lohmer voted in favor of House File 130 today. This fiscally responsible bill sets the state’s priorities and has government live within its means. Standing by Minnesota businesses and families, Rep. Lohmer cast her vote for this pivotal legislation that aims to immediately cut the state budget deficit by $1 billion.
“Minnesota families are setting their priorities and living within their means, we need to do the same,” said Lohmer. She added “We can’t bury our head in the sand. This state has a spending problem. We’re out of money and we need to work to make things better so we can get people back to work and build a sustainable, responsible government budget.”
House Republicans look to send a clear message to state agencies that wasteful, inefficient spending cannot continue if Minnesota is to be successful during these challenging economic times.
