GRUENHAGEN REAFFIRMS STAUNCH SUPPORT FOR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS

SAINT PAUL, MN – In response to a number of recently introduced bills aimed at curbing Second Amendment rights, Representative Glenn Gruenhagen issued the following statement:
 
“I have received hundreds of emails from constituents over the past several days who are concerned about DFL efforts to curb our Second Amendment rights. I am a fervent supporter of the Second Amendment, and will staunchly oppose any legislation that infringes on those rights. I encourage constituents to continue contacting their legislators, and urge them to oppose these misguided efforts.
 
“I will support a review of mental illness laws regarding access to guns, and believe that these efforts, combined with the true enforcement of existing gun laws, will improve public safety and prevent more gun violence than many of the proposed bills that unfairly target law-abiding gun owners.”
