Passport Card
Recently I was sent a letter by the United States Department of State informing me of a Passport Card that would serve as proof of citizenship and identity. The Passport Card would provide more convenient and affordable traveling opportunities to Minnesotans. This card can be used to travel by land to Canada and Mexico, it can also be used to enter the United States at sea ports from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. Passport Cards are not valid for international travel by air.
The Minneapolis Passport Agency can help you if you want to purchase a Passport Card. The Passport Card costs $55 for first time applicant adults and $40 for minors under the age of 16. Passport Card renewal is $30 for adults.
The Minneapolis Passport Agency is located in Minneapolis and anyone can apply in person from 9 am – 2 pm. Residents may also make an appointment by calling 1-877-4USAPPT. Customer Service Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 7 am – 9 pm.
The passport will normally be mailed in less than one week. If your travel is urgent, Minneapolis Passport Agency can also help you in expediting your Passport or Passport Card.
