Dear Neighbor,
While taking a break from pumpkin carving and costume designing, I wanted to take a moment to give you an update from the House of Representatives.
As the Vikings continue their great season, the stadium issue is again rising to the surface. Throughout the fall, Vikings ownership has expressed their desire to work towards a new stadium. Earlier this month, one of my legislative colleagues announced a proposal to fund a stadium using revenue from new slot machines at the metro’s horse racing facilities. Keeping the Vikings in Minnesota is an important issue to citizens in our community and across the state, and I am eager for your feedback. The stadium issue is sure to be a hot topic this session and your input will go a long way in achieving a solution.
Before signing off, I want to wish everyone a fun and safe Halloween. Like National Night Out and Blazin Blaine Days, Halloween is a great chance for us to get out and have a good time with our neighbors.
As on all topics and issues, I encourage you to contact me with your feedback. Through personal dialogue we can work together and give voice to the values that make our community such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Until next time,
Tim
