Rep. Tim Sanders Appointed to Help America Vote Act state planning committee

Dear Neighbor

As the fall colors are nearing their peak and a refreshing crisp has returned to the air, I wanted to give you a quick update on my work as your state representative. Earlier this week I was appointed to the Help America Vote Act state planning committee by House Minority Leader Kurt Zellers.

The committee develops plans for establishing Minnesota’s compliance with HAVA including the replacement of punch card ballots, the purchase of voting machines that allow individuals with disabilities to vote privately and independently, and extensive poll worker and voter education programs.

Together with legislators from both parties, election officials, and community leaders, I look forward to serving the voters who put me in office and all citizens by participating in the process of making our elections more fair, accurate, and accountable across the entire state.

As on all topics and issues, I encourage you to contact me with your feedback. Personal dialogue is the best way for us to work together and give voice to the values that make our community such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Until next time,

Tim
