REP. NEWTON AT THE GREAT MINNESOTA GET TOGETHER
ST. PAUL, MN - First-term legislator Jerry Newton (DFL - Coon Rapids) will be on-hand at the Minnesota State Fair this year meet with constituents and celebrate the state’s history. Newton will be taking questions from residents of Coon Rapids and Andover, discussing legislation for the upcoming session, and distributing legislative surveys to Minnesota Fair-goers.
“Who doesn’t love the State Fair?" said Rep. Newton. “I look forward to visiting with residents of Coon Rapids and Andover in the relaxed atmosphere of the State Fair to discuss their concerns and issues.”
Rep. Newton will be at the State Fair on Saturday, August 29 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Minnesota House of Representatives booth located in the Education Building on Cosgrove Street.
“I look forward to visiting with residents of Coon Rapids and Andover at the Fair,” Newton said. “It’s just another way we can celebrate together Minnesota’s storied history and time-honored traditions.”
Newton is serving his first term in the Minnesota House of Representatives. He serves as Vice Chair of the Veterans Affairs Division and as a member of the K-12 Finance Division, K-12 Education Policy and Oversight Committee, and Transportation Finance and Policy Division.
