Rep. Rosenthal and House DFL legislators join parents, children and business leaders to push for investment in early learners

St. Paul, Minnesota — Rep. Paul Rosenthal joined House DFL legislators, parents, children and business leaders at a pre-school classroom at Washburn Elementary in Bloomington on Sunday, April 7th to highlight the need for investment in early learners through scholarships for quality early learning.

“Early childhood education is one of the most important investments we can make to ensure that our children are academically successful,” said Rosenthal.  “Bloomington schools are leading the state in early childhood education and it’s important that we continue supporting quality early learning.”

At the event, legislators and business leaders talked about the importance of investing in our earliest learners. In addition, parents and children talked about how early education scholarships have made a difference for their children and family.

“I have always been a supporter of early childhood education,” continued Rosenthal.  “All of our Minnesota kids deserve a good start.”

Rep. Rosenthal is the former vice chair of the Early Childhood Education Committee.  He can be reached for comment by phone at 651-296-7803 or by email at rep.paul.rosenthal@house.mn.
