ST PAUL – As the 2009-2010 State Legislature took the Oath of Office on Tuesday, State Representative Tara Mack [R-Apple Valley], announced that she will serve on five Minnesota House committees this biennium: Bioscience and Workforce Development, Cultural and Outdoor Resources Finance Division, Early Childhood Finance and Policy Division, Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight, and Labor and Consumer Protection.
“I am very excited to serve on such a wide array of committees this biennium,” Mack said. “The broad scope of legislation that I will be covering will put me in a great position to help my district and the entire state.”
Of particular interest to Rep. Mack will be her work on the Bioscience and Workforce Development committee where she will help create new jobs and opportunities in the bioscience field; one of the fastest growing in the nation and one that tends to attract high-paying jobs.
“Private sector job growth is going to be critical to helping Minnesota recover financially from the budget problem we currently face. Responsible economic growth, allowing the free market to function and making sure that taxpayers are protected in the process will be my focus this year,” concluded Mack.
