ST. PAUL – Following the announcement that State Senator Dennis Frederickson (R-New Ulm) would not seek a tenth term in the Minnesota Senate, State Representative Paul Torkelson (R-Watonwan County) praised Frederickson’s dedication to rural Minnesota and thanked him for his service.
“I’d like to congratulate Senator Frederickson for his nearly 30 years of service in the Minnesota Senate,” Torkelson said. “He has always been a strong advocate for Minnesota agriculture and remains an instrumental figure on outdoors issues in our state.”
Rep. Torkelson, who is completing his first term in the Minnesota House, said he will always be grateful to Frederickson for his assistance and guidance at the State Capitol.
“I will always appreciate the help he has given me in the State Legislature, as he was always open, accommodating, and willing to share his legislative wisdom with me,” Torkelson said. “Senator Frederickson is a good person and a good friend, and I wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future.”
