Session is underway

Neighbor-

We launched the 2010 legislative session today and it will be interesting to see what transpires the next few months.

There are a lot of questions about how we are going to help people get back to work, and erase our budget shortfall of $1.2 billion and rising. Now that we’re back in St. Paul we can begin establishing answers. We are going to be faced with some really difficult decisions, but the silver lining is we have opportunities to make some real improvements.

Please feel free to e-mail me your feedback on the issues. I also welcome you to participate in a legislative survey I will be making available soon and will send out a notice when it is released. We also are in the process of scheduling a series of town hall meetings in the district and I will pass along more details when things are ironed out.
