ST. PAUL, MN – A bipartisan coalition of state legislators has organized a new Small Business Caucus focused on addressing the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses in Minnesota. The new caucus is seeking the input and partnership of small business owners across the state to help make Minnesota a better, more competitive place to do business. As part of that effort, State Rep. John Persell is asking for the input of local business owners in a new online small business survey.
“There are a lot of small businesses in our area and they’re the engine that will get this economy going strong again. I want direct input from the small businesses in the district because they are the ones that know changes we need and they have the ideas that can make those changes happen. Fill out the survey with your thoughts and get it back to me."
The small business survey asks business owners a series of targeted questions that will help legislators better understand the challenges and opportunities facing small business in Minnesota today. The survey can be found on the Minnesota House of Representatives website at www.house.mn. Rep. Persell encourages all small business owners in District 4A to participate. By listening directly to the concerns of small business owners, and weighing the input of economic experts, Rep. Persell and the Small Business Caucus plan to pursue a pro-business agenda that will make small businesses more competitive, create jobs, and help speed Minnesota’s economic recovery.
“Our economy, especially in greater Minnesota, depends on small business and the jobs they create. I want to solicit the expertise of our local entrepreneurs to come up with more ways to get everybody back to work and to pump some life into Minnesota’s economy.”
Survey input will be collected online until November 30, 2009. Rep. Persell encourages constituents to contact him with any other questions.
