STATE REP. STEVE DRAZKOWSKI TOURS FLOODED AREAS, OFFERS ASSISTANCE
ST. PAUL – Following the devastating rainfall that left many area communities underwater and forced many residents from their homes, State Representative Steve Drazkowski (R-Wabasha) has been touring the flooded areas to see the devastation firsthand and provide storm victims with the most current information being issued by the state.
“Many of these folks have never been through a tragedy like this, so I’m doing my best to let residents know what services are available to them and to reassure them that help is on the way,” Drazkowski said. “Obviously things are changing daily regarding this flood, and I want those affected to have the latest information that I’m receiving.”
Drazkowski invites any flood victims or their family members to contact him directly if they have questions about where they should turn for help or have questions regarding how state and federal government plans to help them with their losses. “Residents should know that I will do all I can to access the appropriate funds to help our neighbors rebuild and recover,” Drazkowski said. “I am in the process of crafting legislation that addresses our flood damage, so I encourage flood victims to contact me at any time with their thoughts, concerns or questions.”
