NEWS RELEASE

STATE REPRESENTATIVE STEVE DRAZKOWSKI SWORN INTO OFFICE, BEGINS WORKING FOR DISTRICT 28B

ST. PAUL – State Representative Steve Drazkowski (R-Wabasha) took his oath of office and was officially sworn in by Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Lorie Gildea on Thursday, August 16. Rep. Drazkowski won a special election on August 7 to replace Rep. Steve Sviggum, who was named commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

“I am honored that the people of Wabasha, Goodhue, and Winona counties have entrusted me with the responsibility of representing their needs and priorities at the State Capitol,” said Drazkowski. “As I begin my work for District 28B, I encourage people to contact me with their concerns, questions, and opinions. Hearing from them will help me to be a better representative.”

“Reducing our tax burden - specifically property taxes, reducing health care costs, prioritizing rural roads in southeastern Minnesota, and ensuring that our kids receive the highest quality of education are the critical issues that I intend to focus my efforts on in the Legislature,” Drazkowski concluded.

Rep. Drazkowski can be reached anytime by mail at 247 State Office Building, St. Paul, MN 55155; by phone at 651-296-2273; or by e-mail at rep.steve.drazkowski@house.mn.
