St. Paul – Rep. Bob Dettmer (R-Forest Lake) has been honored with the April 2007 Minnesota House of Representatives’ First-Term Republican Legislator of the Month award.
Since session started on Jan. 3, 2007, Dettmer has authored 13 important bills, with several being included in the omnibus bill. He has proven himself to be committed to being open and hard working for his constituents. Dettmer is also quickly becoming known as a leader on educational issues in the House.
"Rep. Dettmer is an excellent public servant who uses his life experiences from the class room and coaching everyday here in the legislature," said House Republican Leader Marty Seifert. "He was given the award for his ability to work with members to get some very important legislation passed through the House."
"It’s an honor to be recognized by my legislative colleagues," Dettmer said. "Working for my constituents has been my number one priority this session. As the session enters it final four weeks I will continue to fight hard for all the people of our area."
