LETTER TO THE EDITOR
TAX CUT RALLY
To the Editor:
This past weekend I had the honor and privilege of gathering on the steps of the state capitol with several of my colleges from the House and Senate, along with 7,000 citizens from across the state to rally for tax cuts.
It was great to see so many of my fellow citizens joining together to petition their elected officials to cut taxes, and hold the line on spending. There were six boxes containing over 18,000 signatures of people from all across the state telling their legislators that we should use the budget surplus to cut taxes.
I agree with these citizens. My message to them and to you my constituents is this: I will work to hold the line on spending, and I support giving the surplus back to you with meaningful tax reform and relief.
