COMMUNITY NOTICE

STATE REPRESENTATIVE MASIN TO HOLD BURNSVILLE TOWN MEETING

State Representative Sandra Masin will hold a Town Meeting with local residents this coming Saturday, February 23 from 10:30AM to Noon at Burnsville City Hall, 100 Civic Center Parkway in Burnsville. Discussion topics will include, transportation funding, health care reform and closing the state's budget deficit.
"I'm always eager to meet with my neighbors to hear what is on their minds," said Masin. "As we prepare to tackle some big issues in 2008, their views will be essential in helping me better represent the interests of the south metro."
The 2008 Legislative Session got underway on February 12. Looking ahead, Masin predicted a major focus of the session would be on bills that will stimulate Minnesota's flagging economy and create new jobs.
"The input I received from citizens in meeting of this nature is as important as any testimony I hear in committees at the Capitol," continued Masin. "I'm looking forward to productive conversations and ideas about how we can help keep Eagan, Burnsville and Minnesota great places to live, work and raise a family."
