REP. KIM NORTON TO MEET WITH CONSTITUENTS AT STATE FAIR

ST. PAUL – The Minnesota State Fair is on the horizon, starting in just four weeks. Since 1859, Minnesotans have come from every corner of the state to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of The Great Minnesota Get-Together – but most of all to eat deep-fried food on sticks.

And while she may not be on a stick, Representative Kim Norton (DFL – Rochester) will be on-demand from her constituents answering questions, taking suggestions for legislation, and just plain spending time with people from the community.

"The State Fair is a great way for Minnesotans to come together and celebrate our great history, heritage, and all the things that make our state one of the best in the nation," said Norton. "I want to hear from the people of Rochester and citizens from all over the state how we can make Minnesota even better. What better place to do that than the Minnesota State Fair?"

Rep. Norton will be at the State Fair on Sunday, September 2nd and Monday, September 3rd from noon – 2:00 p.m. at the Minnesota House of Representatives booth located in the Education Building on Cosgrove Street.

"I encourage all of my constituents to come and meet me at the Fair," said Norton.

Norton is serving her first term in the Minnesota House of Representatives. She is Vice Chair of the Biosciences and Emerging Technologies Committee, and a member of the Health and Human Services Committee, Higher Education and Work Force Development Policy and Finance Division, and Licensing Subcommittee. Rep. Norton can be reached at by phone at (651) 296-9249, and by email at rep.kim.norton@house.mn.
