STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR DAYTON’S STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS
(ST. PAUL) — Tonight Governor Dayton delivered his State of the State address, outlining his proposals to put Minnesotans back to work, reform government, and improve Minnesota’s workforce.
State Representative John Ward (DFL – Brainerd) released the following statement:
“Governor Dayton has shown fantastic leadership and he’s absolutely right — jobs and the economy must be our top priority. That’s why DFLers have introduced a jobs plan filled with common-sense ways to get tens of thousands of Minnesotans back to work and ensure that Minnesota companies and workers can compete in today’s economy.
“More than ever, Minnesotans want us to focus on what matters to them — creating jobs, strengthening our economic recovery, and improving education. It’s time to set distracting constitutional amendments aside and get to work on doing what’s best for the people we were elected to serve."
