CITY OF RIVERTON AWARDED SMALL CITIES GRANT
ST. PAUL, MN – State Rep. John Ward is pleased to announce that the city of Riverton has been awarded a Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) grant in the amount of $127,500. The award is for a water storage tank and a well replacement.
“I want to congratulate the city for their successful application for this grant," said Ward. “This program is vital to communities in Greater Minnesota, providing them with additional resources to address their infrastructure improvements, rehabilitation and revitalization of downtown commercial districts and residential neighborhoods.”
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for Greater Minnesota through the SCDP. The SCDP encourages community development activities which are consistent with comprehensive local and area-wide development planning.
