Celebrating Dreams concert an inspiration
Dear Editor,
On Saturday, February 23, 2008, I joined a very large crowd at Tornstrom Auditorium for the "Celebrating Dreams" concert. What a wonderful and inspiring event this was. It showcased very talented area musicians, ranging in age from 13 - 55 years, some of who were performing for the very first time. Many of them performed material they had composed and written themselves. The talent exhibited by all 13 of these performers was remarkable. For me personally, it was wonderful to see so much young quality talent, and helped me realize how important music truly is. Who knows, we could have witnessed the next Linda Edder or Johnny Cash at this concert. From what I saw, their only limit is the size of their dreams!
Finally, my hat off to Cindy Fischer, the concert organizer, who provided all of us with a night we will never forget. Thank you, Cindy, and the incredible musicians.
