Port Crosby Project and Metro Greenway to be Funded Under Bonding Proposal
Saint Paul - Representative Rick Hansen was proud to announce today that two projects of great importance to his district were included in the bonding bill introduced by House leadership today. $500,000 was proposed for the Port Crosby Project and $1 million for the Metro Greenway.
“These projects each represent a significant investment by the state that will help create jobs and improve the quality of life for people in our district," Rep. Hansen said.
The House bonding bill was introduced into the Capital Investment Committee in the House, and is scheduled to go to the House floor on February 24th. The Senate passed its bonding bill last month, and these projects were both included in it, as well, making their inclusion in the final package highly likely.
“The important thing now is that we get the job done and pass this bonding bill quickly,” Rep. Hansen said. “The people of Minnesota and this district have been waiting too long for this already.”
