FUNDING RESTORED FOR HISTORIC FORESTSVILLE
St. Paul, MN – Rep. Jeanne Poppe was pleased to learn that full funding for Historic Forestville was restored in the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Bill that was passed last week. Poppe co-authored the bill that will restore the $250,000 needed to operate the history center.
"I'm very pleased that I was able to play a part in getting funding restored for the operations of Historic Forestville," said Poppe. "This center offers visitors a first-hand look at what life in Minnesota was like at the turn of the century."
Historic Forestville is located in Forestville State Park, between the towns of Preston and Spring Valley.
