Sparks, Poppe to hold area town meetings
State Senator Dan Sparks (DFL-Austin) and Representative Jeanne Poppe (DFL-Austin), have scheduled a series of public town meetings this month, giving local residents an opportunity to share their opinions with area lawmakers.
Senator Sparks and Rep. Poppe invite constituents to attend the following sessions:
Friday, Feb. 13
2 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Grand Meadow Public Schools Media Center
710 4th Ave. NE, Grand Meadow
3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Austin Public Library Large Meeting Room
323 4th Ave. NE, Austin
Saturday, Feb. 14
8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Brownsdale Community Center
103 East Main Street, Brownsdale
9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – LeRoy Community Center
204 West Main Street, LeRoy
11:15 a.m. to noon – Kingsland Middle School cafeteria in Wykoff
201 West Bartlett Street, Wykoff
A more formal hearing will be held on Friday, Feb. 20 in Albert Lea from 10 a.m. to Noon in the City Council Chambers. Members will present the Governor’s budget proposal and invite public testimony on the plan. Everyone is invited to come share their opinions about the budget proposals and other issues.
