ST. PAUL – Concerned about driving conditions on Highway 610? Wish Highway 10 wasn’t so congested? How will future rail and bus plans affect your commute? Citizens in the northwestern suburban area will have an opportunity to ask questions of MnDOT officials about these and other transportation concerns at a Transportation Summit on Tuesday, January 31, in Rogers. The meeting is being hosted by State Rep. Joyce Peppin.
“Transportation is a major concern with my constituents, “said Peppin (R-Rogers). “Whether they are commuting to and from work or just running errands, many agree that our transportation system is a quality-of-life issue in the fast-growing west metro region.
“I wanted to host this summit so citizens can meet and talk with MnDOT officials and get a good first-hand look at what the Department envisions for our area.”
The summit will be held at the Rogers Community Room, 21201 Memorial Drive. The meeting time is 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Rep. Peppin represents District 32A, which includes the communities of Corcoran, Dayton, Greenfield, Hanover, Rogers, Hassan Township, and southwestern Maple Grove. Peppin invites anyone to share their questions or comments about state government with her. She may be reached by email at rep.joyce.peppin@house.mn; by phone at (651) 296-7806; or by U.S. Mail at 411 State Office Building, St. Paul, MN 55155.
