LOEFFLER RECEIVES CONSERVATION AWARD
ST. PAUL – State Representative Diane Loeffler received a "100% Minnesotan" Award from the Conservation Voter Center for casting her vote consistently for conservation during the 2007 Legislative Session.
"I am honored to receive this award," said Representative Loeffler. "The citizens of Minnesota have been asking for serious action on energy and environmental issues. Legislative leaders listened to the concerns of their constituents, and we passed legislation that will make our state a leader in energy initiatives and secure a healthier future for all Minnesotans."
Minnesota Legislative leaders delivered on conservation policy initiatives that made clean, safe energy, recycling, wetlands conservation, protection of our water, and global warming key priorities for Minnesota. The 2007 Legislature passed the most comprehensive clean energy reforms in the nation.
"The 2007 session was a major turning point for conservation initiatives in Minnesota," said Representative Loeffler. "Our state is, once again, asserting itself as a national leader in environmental policy."
