St. Paul, Minnesota — Today, Speaker of the House-designate Paul Thissen announced the Minnesota House of Representatives Committee structure, schedule, and committee chairs. Thissen named State Representative Tina Liebling (DFL – Rochester) as the Chair of the House Health and Human Services Policy Committee.
Rep. Liebling released the following statement on today’s announcement:
“I’m honored to have been named chair of the Health and Human Services Policy Committee. There's a lot to do and I’m ready to get to work for Rochester residents and all Minnesotans.
“I'll work to make sure that every Minnesotan has access to high-quality, affordable health care. We will take advantage of opportunities in the new federal health care law in a way that makes sense for Minnesotans, while continuing to explore Minnesota-made solutions to improve public health and keep Minnesota a world leader in health care.”
