ST. PAUL – Tina Liebling of Rochester was officially sworn in as the District 30A State Representative as the 85th Legislative Session convened at noon on January 3rd at the State Capitol. Liebling, an attorney by profession, is beginning her second term as State Representative. She plans to use her experience as a returning legislator to work in a bipartisan fashion for a better and stronger future for Minnesota.
“It is an honor and a privilege to represent the citizens of District 30A at the Capitol," Liebling said. “I would like to thank the voters for giving me the opportunity, and I will continue to work hard to uphold the trust they have placed in me.”
As a member of the new DFL majority, Liebling is looking forward to passing legislation that will benefit all Minnesotans.
"We have some big challenges and unprecedented opportunities to move forward in this session" said Liebling. "I'm optimistic about the level of bipartisan support for our top priorities of affordable health care, stable education funding, property tax relief and progress toward energy independence."
Liebling was recently elected by her fellow DFL legislators to serve as an Assistant Majority Leader. She will serve on the Health and Human Service Policy and Finance Committees, the Tax Committee, and the Health Care and Human Service, and Public Safety Finance Divisions.
“My goal each day is to make sure all of the people in district 30A have a voice at the State Capitol,” Sailer said. “Citizen involvement in the legislative process is essential, and I welcome input, questions and concerns."
