In response to growing concern from Rochester residents over the possible DM&E (Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern) Railroad expansion, State Representative Tina Liebling will host a Town Hall Meeting this Sunday, May 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the Olmsted County Government Center Board Room.
"With this issue again on the front pages, I am hearing from many residents who are very concerned about the potential impact of the expansion," said Liebling. "This is an issue that affects all of us as residents and taxpayers. As a state official, I felt I had to do something to help our community get some answers."
The meeting will give Rochester residents a chance to ask questions and share their concerns about proposed federal financing of the DM&E expansion. U.S. Senator Mark Dayton, U.S. Senator Norm Coleman, Congressman Gil Gutknecht and local leaders have been invited. All are welcome.
