SAINT PAUL – Representative Matt Dean greeted 3rd graders last week at the state’s Capitol in St. Paul. The 3rd graders, from OH Anderson Elementary School in Mahtomedi, received a tour of the Capitol and spent time on the floor of the House chambers talking with Dean.
OH Anderson was named a 2005-2006 School of Excellence by the Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association. OH Anderson is one of only five elementary schools in the state to receive this year’s award. To be eligible for this award, schools must complete a school improvement process to better student learning. The process involves self-study, the creation of an improvement plan, and implementation of that plan based on demonstrated results.
“I am tremendously proud of OH Anderson’s excellence and I congratulate the school on this award,” said Dean. “Under the leadership of Principal Donna Cadenhead and a dedicated teaching staff, our children are receiving a solid education.”
Representative Matt Dean (Dellwood) serves on four House committees, including the Health Policy and Finance Committee. This is his first term in the Minnesota legislature. Representative Dean can be contacted by phone (651.296.3018) or email (rep.matt.dean@house.mn).
