NEWS RELEASE

URDAHL PROMOTED IN HIGHER EDUCATION COMMITTEE



ST. PAUL – State Representative Dean Urdhal, R – Grove City, has been appointed to be the Vice-Chair of the House Higher Education Finance Committee for the 2006 legislative session.

“The higher education committee will be important this year as we discuss a new on-campus football stadium for the University of Minnesota and bonding requests from the University and the MnSCU system,” Urdahl said.

Urdahl was first appointed to the committee in 2005. He will replace former Representative Mike Opatz, DFL – St. Cloud, who retired from the legislature in December.
