URDAHL RECEIVES AWARD FOR LEGACY WORK

ST. PAUL - State Rep. Dean Urdahl, R-Acton Township, recently received an award for his support of issues related to recreation and parks as chairman of the House Legacy Division.

The Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association presented Urdahl with its recent 2011 Legislative Award during a recent lunch event hosted by numerous outdoors and environmental organizations. The forum was attended by approximately 200 Minnesota conservation leaders and interested citizens interested in discussing parks and trails legacy funds.

“My goal is to continue an open dialogue with citizens and organizations of Minnesota to ensure Legacy funds are being put to the best use possible,” Urdahl said. “I am honored to receive this award and continue to welcome input regarding the investments we are making to ensure the public is getting maximum return on the tax dollars Minnesotans chose to spend by approving for the Legacy Amendment in 2008.”
