Special session begins

Dear Neighbor,

We are back at the Capitol today, discussing and debating about a dozen bills that will bring an end to this state shutdown and set state spending for the next two years.

The governor called us back to St. Paul for a special session which began at 3 p.m. this afternoon. I anticipate we will keep working well into the night and into tomorrow to put a budget in place. I am still in the process of familiarizing myself with the various bills and look forward to soon discussing them further.
