LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Remember those who need a hand

Neighbor-

I want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and hope you enjoy time with friends and family. Many of us live hectic day-to-day lives and this is a time when we can take a deep breath and think about all the reasons for which to be thankful.

I am thankful I will be able to spend time with my extended family this holiday. I also am thankful for all of the friends I have made throughout District 18B. Ironically, this is one of the few days of the year I will not be criss-crossing Meeker and Wright counties to discuss issues of the day with those folks.

One thing to remember this Thanksgiving and into the rest of the holiday season is our recession has left a lot of people in need of a helping hand. Our food shelves are feeling increased demand and your contributions would be greatly appreciated.
