ST. PAUL – State Rep. Dean Urdahl was among lawmakers sworn into office Tuesday as the Legislature gathered at the Capitol for to begin the 86th legislative session.
The Grove City Republican took his fourth oath of office in the House Chamber and is eager to begin working with a new batch of committees, including serving as the Republican lead on the Transportation and Transit Policy Committee. Urdahl also will serve on the Agriculture, Rural Economies and Veterans Affairs Committee, the Capital Investment Finance Division, and the Cultural and Outdoor Resources Committee.
“I am pleased with my committee assignments,” Urdahl said. “They fit areas of my interest and put me in position to work on legislation that will help our district.”

Dean Urdahl represents District 18B in the Minnesota House of Representatives. The district includes most of Meeker County and a portion of Wright County. This is Urdahl’s fourth term in the legislature after being elected in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008.
