Rep. Paul Thissen: For Minnesota, Supreme Court ruling a call to move forward and lead
Saint Paul, Minnesota – House Minority Leader Paul Thissen released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act
“For Minnesota, this ruling serves as a call to move forward and lead. It creates a real opportunity to build a better health care system for all Minnesotans.
Minnesotans are tired of the gridlock. It is time to stop fighting past political battles that take us in reverse.
Settling this issue once-and-for-all in court means real progress and security for families and children with preexisting conditions, seniors facing high drug prices, and thousands of other Minnesotans. However, our work is not done. We need to roll up our sleeves and work to implement the health care law in a way that builds on our nation-leading health care system in Minnesota to improve care and make it more affordable for all Minnesotans.”
